Sarah Bates on Cones

Cones for compeition and for training

Sarah Bates, a full time carriage driving competitor, trainer, instructor and clinician will speak on cones for competition and to improve driving skills in general.  Sarah has trained a wide variety of breeds of horses and ponies using methods that are solid and permanent.  She works with all levels of drivers: beginners, recreational drivers and serious competitors.  Her philosophy is that the bonding between driver and animal is essential father safety  and success of the driver and their animal and should be done with positive reinforcement to gain the animals trust and respect.

Sarah operates High Hopes Farm LLC in Honeoye Falls, New York which offers Carriage sales, horses and ponies for sale, driving clinics and lessons and hosts Driving Competitions.  She will be the clinician for a two day driving clinic focusing on cones and obstacles held by the Horse Park of New Jersey on March 25th and 26th, 2023.
